Heo Won-Jae is a member of the Martial Arts Alliance and head of the Sun And Moon Sect. His school has a large pharmaceutical company as a front for its existence. He is also Lee Shi-Ho's ex-boyfriend. Throughout the series he constantly tried to help and win the affection of Shi-Ho who he still loves. After Shi-Ho's death at the conclusion of The Breaker, he took her body and placed it in a special chamber as he works to bring her back from her comatose state.

Appearance

Heo Won-Jae has slicked back hair and is often seen dressed in either a suit or his lab coat.

Personality

He is a short-tempered and extremely arrogant man. His arrogance gets him into trouble such as when he brazenly greeted Hyuk So-Chun of the Heavenly Way Sect with a punch. 

He does not seem to care much for tradition or show much pride or interest in the Murim world and his clan. The only thing he does seem to care about is Lee Shi-Ho. His love for her is one sided but he has gone to great lengths to see her, forgiven her of very serious crimes, ignored her obvious affection for Goonmoonryong, and now spends huge amounts of his time and money attempting to undo her coma.  

His attitude began to change slightly due to the influence of Lee Shi-Woon and Kang Sae-Ra. When fighting S.U.C he aborted them for not appreciating his being a clan head and has even taken Shi-Woon's health on as his personal responsibility. 

History

The Breaker New Waves

Inside his research lab. When someone knocks on the outside of his door. He shouts asking who is it and recalls asking not to be bothered when working. A woman mentions Bae Seung-Jae said he must reach him. When Seung-Jae arrives in his lab. He tells him from his reputation, he thought he'd bring him something special. Seung-Jae mentions the blood can be purifed and asks can't he feel its enormous Ki, asking him to thoroughly examination it. Putting a breifcase on the table Won-Jae mentions being pressed for time. Seung-Jae mentions he'd like to get something instead of the money, asking to borrow his alchemic room. Declining his request, Won-Jae asks him why he's stuck on his school's room. Seung-Jae mentions needs a big room to make a strengthening medicine. He agrees and only when they will set the time. Seung-Jae questions what he's making. He asks him about being nosy. Seung-Jae thanks him and leaves. Won-Jae makes his way towards a secert room. Viewing Lee Shi-Ho in a comatose state. He vows to bring her back this time.

Later, he is visited by the leader of the Mil-Yang Clan, Kang Sae-Ra. She reveals the fact that she knows he has ties to the Blood and Bone Sect and asks for his cooperation in rescuing the kidnapped Shi-Woon. Otherwise he risks his school's destruction at the hands of the Sun-Woo Clan. He agrees after finding out that it was the new Sun-Woo clan leader and Chun-Woo's disciple Lee Shi-Woon who was kidnapped.

He meets up with Bae Seung-Jae at the abandoned factory in order to stall for time so that Sae-Ra can sneak in and rescue Shi-Woon. After Shi-Woon clears the way of S.U.C skeletons and Yang Yong-Hyeon , Won-Jae takes the injured back to treat them. Sae-Ra is sent to a hospital to treat her wounds and in exchange for Shi-Woon's silence, as per a deal suggested by Sae-Ra, Won-Jae starts treating Shi-Woon's Ki centre, though the result is not immediate.

Abilities

Master Martial Artist (Sun And Moon Style): As the head of the Sun And Moon Sect he is obviously a master of its martial arts to have such a position. Though the full extent of his skills has yet to shown so it's unknown how powerful of a master he actually is.

Medical Knowledge: As the head of Sun And Moon Sect, that focuses on the medical section, he is very knowledgeable and intelligent. This is shown during during his conversation with Bae Seung-Jae as he mentions various medical terms.

Techniques

• Thunder Smashing Strike: He used this technique against Hyuk So-Chun but it was blocked effortlessly. Although he is not a member of the Sun-Woo Clan but the head of the Sun And Moon Sect he shown to know this technique.
