Appearance[]
Ha-Jae had a weak and slim body, but after using Murim medicine and frequently exercising he developed a well-toned muscular body.
Ha-Jae has brown eyes and dark shaggy hair which he cut short after developing his muscles.
Ha-Jae is seen wearing the Nine Dragons High School uniform. During the time was hospitalized he was wearing patients clothing.
Personality[]
Haje started as weak and cowardly boy who in his despair contemplated taking his own life. However, after his interactions with Shi-Woon he became more courageous. However, it's revealed later on that Haje had always been like this as the reason he was bullied in the first place was due to courageously standing up for others. Sadly no one ever showed him the same courtesy until Lee Shi-Woon showed up.
Haje enacts astounding loyalty towards Shi-Woon. He rejects life changing bribes from Kang Sae-Ra and Yang Gil-Nam in favour of sticking by Shi-Woon's side.[1] As noted by Sera he is sharp and quick witted. He always manages to grasp situations and see through other people.
As Haje witnesses consecutive high level martial arts fights he gradually becomes obsessed with power. To a point where he risks his life to ask an extremely powerful stranger to train him. He was told by Yang that it was alright to use his strength against normal people and that he should pay grudges back tenfold.[2] Haje follows this advice multiple times when he moves to beat up Kim Eun-Ho but is disappointed to find out it only took one punch. Or when he later on goes roaming the streets of Seoul beating up other non-Murim thugs.
History[]
The Breaker Eternal Force[]
Due to severe bullying that had left Haje in hospital on several occasions and a feeling of being unwanted he contemplated taking his own life but after an encounter with Lee Shi-Woon who forces him to realise he still wants to live and make something of his life he begins to change. Haje finally finds the courage to fight back against his bullies but this only enrages them causing his most severe beating so far later on. Shiwoon and Joo Sang-Shik find him almost dead but due to the Ghost Doctor's abilities they're able to stabilize Haje before bringing him to a hospital.
This is where Shiwoon finally agrees to help Haje become stronger. He gives him a rigorous list of exercise to fulfill every day for the next 2 weeks and has Sera give him the Great Origin Rejuvenation Pills. One of the most prized treasures of the Sunwoo Clan. Telling him to take one before going to sleep each night. After only weeks Haje had gone from a lanky small boy devoid of any noticeable muscle to a slightly taller well-built man with impeccable muscle definition. Once he's completed the task he goes to Shiwoon's house where Shiwoon performs a treatment on him that heals his 1 Yin Body. Later Min Sa-Oak tests Haje's ki and reveals that usually you wouldn't expect much from a situation like this but that Haje had miraculously hit the jackpot and now had a body perfect for learning martial arts comparable to the 3 and 9 Yin body types of Shiwoon and Seonu So-Seol
While Haje is meditating following Shiwoon's treatment he and Kwon Ji-Nie are attacked by the Torrent Clan. Haje finds that he is much stronger than he was before. He is able to rip chains with his bare hands and was able to sense men approaching from lower in the building that even Jinie could not sense. After escaping Ma Mun-Gi lets Haje know where Shiwoon is and he promptly makes his way to that location. Haje is astonished by the battle that takes place between Lee Shi-Woon, the Shin Hyun-Pung and Lee Nari where he cannot even see there movements. Sparking a new obsession with attaining higher levels of Martial Arts within him.
Later Haje is inducted into the Sun-Woo Clan at the behest of Shiwoon despite opposition from the Elders who were bemused that Shiwoon had given the clan's treasure to a seemingly random kid. Following on Haje get's caught up in the inner politics of the clan. He gets to train with Jinie for a few days and Yang Gil-Nam promises to teach Haje the arts of the Sun-Woo Clan in a way that will boost his apparent potential quickly. However all he gives Haje is a PDF guide. Of which its contents are not even able to be understood by Haje until he has gone through several martial arts books that Kang Sae-Ra gives him. The empty promises that he would be taught martial arts perhaps spur his later decision to strike a deal with Goomoonryong for 10 days of training. Within those 10 days he learns how to sense his own Ki for the first time making it evident that no one had even begun to teach him anything of worth until that point. Before he leaves Sophia gives Haje a new phone with her email address, telling him he won't be accepted within the Sun-Woo once he's seen using Goomoonryong's martial arts and that he should join her.
Shi-woon leaves the clan while Haje is still missing and due to the chaos this causes Haje is not able to get in meaningful contact with anyone in the the clan for days. This makes him feel unwanted and leads him to search the underbelly of Seoul to test the fruits of his 10 days of training on. Haje bloodies random non-murim thugs on at least 2 occasions but is unsatisfied due to their weakness. However as soon as he finds an opponent in Kwon-Young he feels their difference in strength and his overcome by fear. Although he still finds the courage to attack him when he misreads a situation with Soseol, he is promptly beaten.
