Ten Grand Masters are well known as the pillars of Murim.

They are considered the highest level of a martial artist can reach with normal means. They are the real masters and referred to as Grand Masters. The title of Grandmaster are also used within the clan and schools to refer to the great teachers of the school/clan, also referred to as Great Masters. They are the pillars of Murim that hold the world of Murim together.
However, the Ten Grand Masters are the top ten Real Masters in the Murim. They are not ranked from one to ten in terms of strength but they are acknowledged as part of a group of ten. It's has also been stated that these ten are leaders of their respective organisation. The only exception is Jae-Kyu Kwon who has maintain his position as Elder and Second-in-Command of the Sun-Woo Clan. Only very little Murim have the hope to fighting one of them. Han Chun-Woo has fought against three members. Only three has been seen so far.
